Thank You Speech

Here's a simple, sincere and effective thank you speech sent in by a reader who has just celebrated a 40th birthday. It's made vividly personal with the inclusion of the sentence about the 'lovely new vase'. Although we're not told directly, I think we can safely assume there was a party for family and friends and this speech was made after it.

Thank you for the lovely gifts. Your thoughtfulness is greatly appreciated.

When I awoke the next morning and everyone was still sleeping I rearranged some things to find a home for my lovely new vase.

Rob and I appreciate all of your help before my birthday and during it.

I'm so glad you could all be apart of my 40th celebration. The gift of your time is most precious to me.
